What Panya is
Find a route, match it, take it offline
- 01 Find
See the ground before you go
Browse roads, tracks and walks across Kenya by grade, climb and time.
- 02 Match
Know if your vehicle can do it
Add your vehicle to the garage. The app checks it against the route and names the gap if it falls short.
- 03 Go offline
Follow it with no signal
Download a route before you leave. Navigation, grades and the SOS screen's distances work with no signal.
Walking routes carry a foot grade and never a vehicle verdict. None of the grades is a star rating.
Before publication
How a route is checked
01The full line
Every route starts from a recorded track with a height on every point. No line, no route.
02A terrain grade
Staff record evidence on the route and grade it from sealed to extreme. Each grade sets the minimum drivetrain, clearance and tyres.
03A commitment band
Scored from the line: how far you walk out, how far a town and fuel are, the time out and the climb. It says what happens if the drive goes wrong.
04Facts with evidence
Gates, fees, fuel and camps are recorded as facts, each with the evidence behind it.
05A second reviewer
A second person reviews the whole dossier before anything is published. A published release never changes; a correction is a new release.
